Q. Does Ideal POS System have a graphical table layout for restaurants and cafe’s?

A. Yes Ideal POS System can have an unlimited number of table layouts and floor plans created to match your restaurant or cafe’ which can be loaded as required to suit casual dining, functions etc. Up to 10 layouts can be used at one time across a network allowing different plans for different rooms /areas within your business. Layouts can be changed by the operator or supervisor at any time as required. Any layout can also be modified at any time as the need arises.

Q. Can items be transferred from one table to another?

A. Yes you can easily transfer specific items from one table to another, or transfer the entire table if the guests decide to move or join another table.

Q. Can the bill be split at payment time?

A. You can manage bill splitting easily with the operator selecting specific items for separate payment or split by seat numbers or evenly dividing amongst the number of guests.

Q. Can the system book reservations?

A. The system has a reservations feature which allows you to enter bookings directly into the database to keep a history of customers and reserve tables on the table map. There is also a pending booking area in case the required tables are currently booked out.

Q. Can the system warn me when I am out of stock of an item?

A. Yes the touch screen button for any item can be set to show the number of items in stock. This number decreases in real time on all POS terminals as stock is sold. You’ll never get caught having to apologise to a customer who has ordered a meal or wine that is sold out.

Q. Does the system support Handheld PDA Waiter Pad?

A. The ideal POS System software can be loaded on most PDA devices that support wireless networking and run Windows Mobile O/S. We recommend either Widefly or Symbol devices for their long battery life and Wi-Fi networking capabilities.
